Jam, Jam, You Wanna Get Up, Then Jam
We get you the bread and butter, you bring the Jam. Metaphorically. Read – we get you the studio and sound, you bring yourself to the session.
Jamming is an informal gathering where musicians come together to play and explore what evolves during the group dynamics. Jamming with another musician and performing together is a massive motivator for students to keep playing and improving.
Different folks bring different strokes, we learn to give some and take some, cover up and shine. Improv is the magic that works in Mysterious Ways.
Our Jam Band programs follow the hybrid model and are presently only available for our Bangalore students who already play/sing a few songs.
Audition
Submit a 60-second playing/singing audition video. Keep it to 60 seconds, we are not making a movie here. If you get selected, Mummy can distribute sweets and you will be assigned to a band of similar age/playing level.
Hair and makeup not necessary.
Online Group Session (1 session)
Students will come together as a band, fight over what name it should be, finally agree, shortlist songs and then disperse.
Online 1:1 Sessions (8 sessions)
Each student will then go through 8 sessions x 1 hr per session, conducted twice a week. Students will be provided sheet music/chord charts, lyrics, and all other resources for their respective instrument/vocals.
Hair and makeup not required here since you will be learning from the comfort of your home. Hell, you can show up in your pajamas.
Jam In-person (2 sessions)
Band meet in-person at a fully equipped rehearsal studio for 2 sessions x 90 minutes per session. Everyone learns Jam etiquette, working with tech, band teamwork, song presentation, live performance tricks, and more!
Good time to show off your clothes.
Audio-Video Recording In-person (1 session)
Ready-to-perform bands are captured on audio + video as they play their songs LIVE in the studio! This accounts for 1 session x 90 minutes. This final produced video is given to all participants, along with a certificate of completion.
Yes to hair, makeup and ironed clothes.
Bonus Live Gig (Time of Your Life)
Based on band proficiency and availability, it may be possible to include a live performance at a local venue. Not MK Ahmed types, but some cool hang-out joints. Production costs will be additional and split on actuals.
